The Kuskokwim 300 is the premier middle distance sled dog race in the world, spanning 300 miles of traditional trails along the Kuskokwim River, from Bethel, Alaska to Aniak, Alaska and back.
We host not only the Kuskokwim 300, but the Bogus Creek 150, the Akiak Dash, as well as several other races between 30 and 100 miles and the new Delta Championship Series.
Started in 1980, the Kuskokwim 300 Race Committee’s mission is to further the interest in dog sled racing; to re-establish historic trails in the Lower Kuskokwim area of the State of Alaska; to establish and maintain an organization to foster these and other activities including sled dog races for the recreation, instruction and education of the members, as well as the general public.
We are proud to carry on the sled dog racing tradition within the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta. The Committee hopes to continue fostering a strong dog mushing community in our region, involving mushers young and old, from novices to world class professionals.
