The Lapland Quest is an annual, long-distance sled dog race held in the snowy wilderness of Finnish Lapland. Traveling a demanding course between Kolari and Pello, mushers and their canine teams navigate around 215 to 250 kilometers of challenging winter terrain. Organized by the Tunturi-Lappi Sled Dog Sports Club, the event frequently serves as the official Finnish Championship for long-distance sled dog sports, prioritizing dog welfare with mandatory checkpoint rests while showcasing elite endurance.
