H58 (Grand Marais Truck Trail) 6 Miles East of the Town of Grand Marais, Michigan

Driver’s Meeting and Race Start Times
Driver’s Meeting will be at the race site on Saturday, April 27, 2024 and held 1 hour before the first class at 7:00 am.

Race will start at 8:00 AM unless weather/temperatures dictate an earlier start. This will be announced before the race.

Classes and Mileages Offered
The following classes are offered for: All Breed, Registered Breed* and Sportsman subclasses

The below classes are ISDRA Sanctioned:
3.4 Mile Trail:
6-Dog Rig
4-Dog Rig

2-Dog Bikejoring
2-Dog Scooter

Men’s Canicross (this class is not separated into subclasses)
Women’s Canicross (this class is not separated into subclasses)

2.4 Mile Trail:
1-Dog Bikejoring
1-Dog Scooter

The following Junior Classes run 1.5 miles:
2-Dog Junior Rig
1-Dog Junior Canicross

*NOTE: Registered Breeds must be AKC/CKC/UKC Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, or Samoyeds-NO ILP Dogs

Additional Classes (these classes are not ISDRA sanctioned):
“Fun Run” class for Adults and Juniors, 1 or 2 dogs, 1.5 miles … choice of rig, bike, scooter or canicross. Make selection when you enter
Heavy Rig Class Adult “Fun Run” (unlimited dogs) — 10 miles NOTE: snub line will be required for this class. Race Marshal has final say on any rig used. Racing rigs will be turned away. Heavy rig or 4-wheeler only. If motorized, yes, you may use it running and in gear because safety is paramount. The goal of this class is for fun and to invite larger teams who are less interested in dryland racing. You are encouraged to take a handler on the trail with you if desired.

We are also offering these classes which are non-dog:
Mountain Bike (no dogs) — 3.4 miles
Men’s and Women’s 5K run (no dogs)

*No Whips
*No Wrist Ropes and/or Driver Restraints Allowed
*Helmets required in all Wheeled Classes
*Snub Line required on 6 & 4 Dog Rigs while on trail (ISDRA)
*ISDRA Rules Apply

Entries will close on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 6:00 PM EST. NO LATE ENTRIES PLEASE!!!
Entry Fees are listed for each class in the Registration Section. Entries are accepted online only.

You must accept the Standard Driver’s Release Waiver before you can pay for your entries.

In the event the race is cancelled, your entry fee will be refunded (minus the bytepro process fee).

GLSDA membership is required to race

GLSDA Membership can be purchased online here on bytepro OR
you can pay for your membership at the driver’s meeting.

Please note that you will not be permitted to race until your membership has been paid.

Lodging and Food
There is no race site camping permitted, but there is a campsite nearby at Woodland Park Campground – (906) 494-2613. We are working to obtain special camping rates for participants (Currently the nightly rates are $30 for primitive site and $40 for electric site).

Additional Information and Activites
Photographer – We will have at least one photographer. Follow this Event Page for updates and more informaton.

We plan to have music at the trail head! …. There will be a survey question presented during the entry process where you can optionally provide your music choice.

We plan to have some special events both Friday and Saturday nights, so stay tuned for details.

Weekend Fantasy Coach Sheet…. Be sure to get your sheet from Brian and have it turned in before the first class finishes on Saturday if interested.

Sunday award ceremony to follow last class. (Be sure to stay for awards)
