SUMMARY:Easter Fun Run - Chugiak
DESCRIPTION:Race Course: 2 miles\, forwards. \nNo. of dogs: 2 minimum\, 4 maximum.  Juniors must stay within the number of dogs allowed for their age (must be at least 8 years old). 15 seconds added for each dog in team over two dogs. \nEggs: One hard-boiled\, colored Easter egg per dog (count dogs in both teams). Eggs must be carried in the sled in anything except an egg carton. Each team member must carry all of their eggs on their respective runs (5 seconds added for each cracked or missing egg.) \nCostumes: 15 seconds subtracted for each team member in costume. \nRelay:  The second musher can have dogs harnessed and chained to the truck\, but can only hook to the gangline after the first musher comes back in and “tags up.” (don’t forget to transfer the eggs). \nAssistance:  Once the first team member is off the start line\, only a chute judge or team member may assist. \nTotal Elapsed Time:\n+ 5 seconds for each cracked or missing egg.\n+15 seconds  for each dog in the team over two dogs.\n-15 seconds for each team member in costume.

SUMMARY:UP 200
DESCRIPTION:The UP200 Powered by NMU is one of America’s premier 12-dog\, mid-distance sled dog races and draws mushers from around the United States and Canada. The first UP200 was run in February\, 1990\, after two years of planning by sled dog racing enthusiasts. The current race covers approximately 216 miles from Marquette to Grand Marais\, with a return to Ojibwa Casino along the same trail. The terrain includes stretches of near-wilderness\, creek crossings\, hills and valleys\, and heavily forested land. Mushers say this is one of their favorite races\, not only because of the challenging race\, but because of the beautiful trail\, the cheering crowds and warm welcome they receive at every checkpoint along the trail here in the Upper Peninsula. \nThe UP200 is an Iditarod qualifying race. Registration is limited to 40 teams\, and mushers are required to have finished the Midnight Run or other equivalent sixty (60) mile continuous running races within the past three seasons.

SUMMARY:Mush Synnfjell
DESCRIPTION:The start is on Saturday 05.01.23\, at 1 p.m. Finish is expected early Sunday for MUSH Synnfjell. \nMUSH Synnfjell 2023 will have three stages and two checkpoints\, checkpoint Halden and Camp Synnfjell.\nTime equalization at checkpoint Halden. The total distance of the race is approximately 200 km.\nNo age restriction\, but everyone under 15 must have a responsible companion. Participants under the age of 15 must have sufficient experience to be able to drive their own sled. \nThere will be mandatory rest at the checkpoints\, 3 hours at checkpoint Halden and 5 hours at Camp Synnfjell. Ordinary timekeeping. \nThere will be a veterinary check. At checkpoint Halden there will be opportunities to buy food and drink. The wilderness checkpoint Camp Synnfjell offers a fire\, coffee and straw. \nThere is no time limit\, but if you run MUSH Synnfjell you must be at the finish line by 5pm on Sunday. \nIndividual interval start.\nThe race is timed and therefore follows the competition regulations of the Norwegian Dog Breeders’ Association. .\nThe regulations of the Norwegian Hundekjørerforbund regarding vaccination and animal welfare are followed.
